Here's a synopsis: In the live-action Kim Possible movie, Kim and her best friend and sidekick, Ron Stoppable, start Middleton High School, where Kim must navigate an intimidating new social hierarchy. With Kim's guidance and friendship, Athena transforms into the newest member of Team Possible.

Disney Channel has set the premiere date for its upcoming live-action Kim Possible movie - and released a new trailer for the comedic action-adventure, which sees newcomer Sadie Stanley stepping into Kim's iconic cargo trousers. After its premiere, Fast Layne moves to its regular timeslot on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Soon, Athena starts to eclipse Kim just as the nefarious Drakken and Shego resurface in Middleton with a master plan to finally stop Kim.

Kim Possible's cast also includes Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys) and Taylor Ortega (Succession) as evil duo Drakken and Shego; Ciara Wilson as new student Athena; Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother) as Kim's mom, Dr. Ann Possible; Connie Ray (The Big C) as Kim's grandmother, Nana Possible; Issac Ryan Brown (Raven's Home) as computer genius Wade; and Erika Tham (Make It Pop) as Kim's frenemy Bonnie Rockwaller.

Romano and Patton Oswalt, who voiced super villain Professor Dementor in the original series, have also signed on to appear in the live-action movie, although it hasn't been revealed who they will play.

The script will be written by Kim Possible creators Mark McCorkle and Bob Schooley (Big Hero 6: The Series, The Penguins of Madagascar), and Josh Cagan (The DUFF, Bandslam). The movie was co-directed and co-produced by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky (MECH X-4).

To bring this new version of Kim Possible to life, Disney has tapped a newcomer, Sadie Stanley for the role.
