The Belgium worldwide joined the Mestalla outfit on a season-long loan during the summer after he was deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

The Belgium worldwide joined the Spanish club on a season-long deal but has scored just three goals in 23 appearances.

This season so far the Spanish side have been struggling in the league, and we reported this week about the precarious position their manager now finds himself in.

The spell in east Spain has not gone well, however, with the 25-year-old scoring just three goals in 23 games. We are negotiating the player's exit with various other clubs.

'The player knows and we hope to reach a solution soon for the good of all parties.

"We are expecting an exit in the few hours or days".

The Spanish club's sporting director Mateu Alemany confirmed Batshuayi would be heading back to Stamford Bridge at a press conference on Thursday. "He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation".

Chelsea and Valencia have reportedly been in talks to end the loan stint for the Belgian, but on Tuesday night Marcelino indicated that he is no longer prepared to show patience with the striker.

Everton would have to purchase Batshuayi, who has two-and-a-half years left on his Blues contract, on a permanent deal, as they already have defender Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea.
