Delta Air Lines Coca Cola apologize for ‘creepy’ napkins

Perhaps it was all made in good fun, but some passengers were not too appreciative of Delta Air Lines' latest ploy which involved napkins and some "old school" flirtatious prodding.

Passengers from various flights have been showing off the different napkins, with critics claiming they are uncomfortable by the sometimes forward messages.

During snack services on select Delta flights last month, travelers were given Diet Coke-branded napkins that suggested they give their name and phone number to a fellow passenger they wanted to join the mile high club with.

One side of the napkin tells passengers "because you're on a plane full of interesting people.hey, you never know", while the back (the side with spots for your name and number) encourages passengers to "be a little old school".

"Hey @Delta and @CocaCola these napkins are creepy AF", the netizen (@ducksauz) called out.

"We are sorry for that and began removing the napkins from our aircraft in January", it said. Others argued the napkins "encourage affairs" or were "unintentionally creepy". "We worked with our partners at Delta to begin removing the napkins last Monday, replacing them with other designs".

Coca Cola said in a statement: "We sincerely apologise to anyone we may have offended".

Both Delta and Coke have since apologized for the napkins, with Delta admitting they "missed the mark with this one".

While another passenger thanked the airline for "helping us singles out".

Love might not be in the air for Delta Air Lines and Coca-Cola.

In fact, evidently enough complained that Delta and Coca-Cola apologized for the marketing stunt Wednesday, saying the napkins have since been removed from flights.

One user shared a amusing experience he had with the napkins, showing off a Christmas themed card.
