Director Bala clarifies on'Varmaa controversy

The film's producers had announced on Thursday that they will not release Varmaa directed by Bala as they were not happy with the output.

Bala wants to end all this considering Dhruv Vikram's future. The same is happening in the case of the Tamil remake "Varmaa" of 'Arjun Reddy'. As Vikram is very impressed with the working style of Gautham Menon, is trying to bring him on the board to direct his son Dhruv's movie Varmaa. Hence, the production house has made a decision to reshoot the movie. Initially Vikram thought that National award winning director Bala would be the best choice for the Launchpad of his son but finally he has walked away from the project. According to the agreement, Bala was given full freedom while making Varmaa including the necessary changes needed and the director delivered the product.

"I am forced to release this explanation due to a false statement from the producer of Varmaa". The agreement also mentioned waiving off balance payment by E4 to B studios and mentioned that B studios will make payment to Anand cine services, issuing a no due/ no lien certificate favoring E4 entertainment.

The filmmaker also agrees to handover all footage, film stills, sound tracks, IT tracks, unmixed and mixed songs and tracks from the film. The entire will now be shot again with a new director and cast and crew. We know how he had a special place in shaping up Vikram's career with critically acclaimed movies.

In his statement, Mukesh said: "E4 Entertainment had engaged B Studios to recreate the Tamil version of Arjun Reddy, titled Varmaa, on a first copy basis on the latter's insistence". "Instead, we will start afresh, and shoot a new Tamil version of Arjun Reddy with Dhruv as the main lead by staying true to the soul and the intention of the original", said the production house, adding that the "unfortunate turn of events" had cost them heavily.
