The Toronto Raptors are set to sign Jeremy Lin: report
"I truly mean that!"
Lin gives the Raptors obvious depth at both guard spots, and will likely - once he clears waivers and joins Toronto - spend time backing up point guard Kyle Lowry and shooting guard Danny Green.
Lin thanked the Hawks in his post, saying they helped him "become myself again on the basketball court and allowed me to experience the joy of hoops again!"
The Hawks waived Lin on Monday, and his move to Toronto, first reported by ESPN, had "Linsanity" trending on Twitter.

Lin's arrival in Toronto takes on greater importance with Raptors guard Fred VanVleet expected to miss at least three weeks with a partially torn ligament in his left thumb. You saw him guard Dwyane Wade in the playoffs. Adding Lin doesn't necessarily qualify as an attack of the buyout market, but there haven't been many getting done to this point.
Lin has been a productive reserve for Atlanta in his first season with the team, averaging 10.7 points and 3.5 assists through 51 games.
The Raptors are now one game back of the Milwaukee Bucks for the top seed in the Eastern Conference, as they both have 41 wins but the Raptors have two extra losses.
