Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards - 2/11/19 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Every game counts and the Detroit Pistons know it; that's why tonight, when they face the Washington Wizards, they must leave everything on the floor to continue climbing stepladders.

The Washington Wizards are coming off a 134-125 win at Chicago on Saturday for their third second straight win and cover. Washington is 24-and-32. Drummond had 17 points and 10 rebounds before the break while Beal's 16 points led the Wizards.

Speaking of Andre, since his return from the contusion protocol, he has averaged monstrous numbers of 17 points, 15 rebounds and nearly three blocks per game. Detroit is 8-15 in games decided by 10 points or more. Jeff Green, who has been dealing with left hip tightness, played 28:04 and scored four points. He ranks tenth in the league scoring 26.1 points per game.

Fortunately for Detroit, the non-travel call didn't stop it from earning a critical 121-112 victory at Little Caesars Arena. Their opponents have averaged 101.7 points on 45.6 percent shooting.

The Pistons are adding veteran guard Wayne Ellington.

TOP PERFORMERS: Andre Drummond is averaging 17.1 points and 14.9 rebounds for the Pistons.

The Wizards are 19-39 against the spread in their last 58 road games, but 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a win. The Pistons are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games playing on two days rest.

The Pistons have been a tough team to figure out, but they clearly weren't selling at the trade deadline, so it may have put some focus into this squad.

Detroit has a unique but complicated opportunity to maintain that eighth place (and keep dreaming of climbing on the standings) when they meet the Wizards for the third time this season tonight. The arrival of Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker to Washington has given them a new look and they hope to get fully involved in the fight for the Playoffs. I expect that to be the difference. Detroit should also be able to pound the ball inside and take advantage of a thin Washington frontcourt.
