Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed a Republican colleague as a hypocrite on Thursday while defending fellow freshman Representative Ilhan Omar. "We do talk with students and offer numerous opportunities to explore issues of dialogue and professionalism in curricula and experiential learning opportunities".

His comments follow Omar's speech to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) in which she railed against the "second-class" treatment of Muslim people after the 9/11 attacks. The fact that they would double down on this and try to provide cover for Ilhan Omar when all you have to do is say hey, she misspoke, maybe she did not mean at that way.

Crenshaw had already shot down a suggestion from Omar that he was inciting violence against her by criticizing her.

Stepping into the dustup, Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: "In 2018, right-wing extremists were behind nearly ALL US domestic terrorist killings".

Crenshaw didn't shrink from citing his own service in the military when he responded to the Democrats who claimed that he didn't do enough to support the military. "Why don't you go do something about that?" she tweeted at Crenshaw.

Right-wing media empire Fox News referenced United States lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) 42 days in a row, according to research, for a total of 3,181 unique mentions, leading many to note an editorial "obsession" by the staunchly conservative news giant with the Democratic firebrand. I think everyone should just look at the clip and decide for themselves.

The Texas Rep. jumped to his Twitter account on April 9 to slam Omar saying, "First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as 'some people who did something.' Unbelievable".

He called it the "height of partisanship" that both sides can't come together and agree that it was improper to "diminish" the attack on USA soil. The fund, which helps first responders and others harmed in the 9/11 attacks, is up for renewal. "I'm the guy who went overseas to make sure this never happens again, to take the fight to the enemy that committed these attacks", he said. "I would go back and do it every day if I could". You have to say that this person is looking at me odd, I am not comfortable with it, and I am going to talk to them and ask them why.

Crenshaw served five deployments overseas - while on his third combat tour, he was hit by an IED blast during a mission in Afghanistan that destroyed his right eye and badly injured his left eye.
