This van functions as a Fortnite respawn mechanic for downed players in a manner very reminiscent of the Apex Legends respawn system.

The Fortnite 2.14 update fixed issues across all of the different game modes, along with some that are specific to Battle Royale Mode and Creative Mode. Surprisingly enough, Epic Games didn't bother to change the respawn system too much and it works just like in Apex Legends. In both games, your dead teammate drops an item-in Apex, it's their banner card; in Fortnite, their reboot card. You must pick up the dead player's Reboot Card from the loot they drop when they die. From the pocket of a deceased colleague fall special card, which disappears after 90 seconds.

You can check out all the Reboot Van locations in Fortnite on the map below, and then thank Prime Games for their effort in making this map. First revealed last week in a developer video update (which you can see below), Reboot Vans allow players to respawn fallen teammates in duos and squad games. Unlike in Apex Legends, that same Reboot Van can be reused two minutes later to revive another player.

This week, Epic released Fortnite's new 8.30 patch, and while it's an update full of new content and changes, its most notable addition is a feature that Apex players are already very familiar with: respawns. That means that one person can go running for the beacon while the other person goes to recover the card, drastically shortening the time it takes to bring your third squadmate back. This feature comes in the form of reboot vans.

Fortnite has as of late been in the news as Prince Harry had required the diversion to be avoided kids. The van looks quite awesome and we really have to applaud the designers for all the brilliant work that they've delivered.

Fixed an issue where players would not respawn at the Reboot Van if it was being used by two players at the same time and one player stopped interacting with it during the channel time. When users understand that, they can go to any Fortnite Reboot Van and start the restoration procedure. You'll reenter the match with 100 health, a Common Pistol with 36 rounds, and 100 wood to let you build.
