A Nova Scotia mother who says she waited two years for her cancer diagnosis is calling out the premier for not declaring a health-care crisis in the province.

"I dare you to take a meeting with me and explain to me and to look in my eyes and tell me that there is no health care crisis in my province of Nova Scotia", the 33-year-old mom said.

In a video that has racked up more than a million views and 0,000 shares, Inez Rudderham, who was diagnosed with cancer after two years of waiting to see a doctor, stares straight into the camera and fights tears as she dares Premier Stephen McNeil to sit down with her. "They caught it when it was Stage 3", she said, adding that 30 rounds of radiation she received to her pelvis had left her "barren and infertile".

Rudderham says she went to three different ERs, but was brushed off each time.

"It's OK though, right? They caught it when it was Stage 3".

"I fought. I fought for my life".

Rudderham also says she has been waiting to utilize mental health services since January, only to find out this month that she can only get an appointment in mid-July.

As of March 1, 51,119 people who have registered with the province are now without a family doctor.

Critics have lambasted the issues plaguing Nova Scotia's health care system, which includes a shortage of family doctors, overcrowded emergency rooms and entire medical facilities being closed. "We believe that every Nova Scotian deserves access to a family physician".

On Thursday, McNeil told CTV Atlantic that he had watched part of the video and that he has asked representatives from the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness to reach out to her.

The video posted on Tuesday has been shared more than 61,000 times.

A GoFundMe page for Rudderham had raised more than $10,000 as of Thursday afternoon.

Before ending her video, she challenges the premier again saying: "this is the face of the health-care crisis in Nova Scotia and I dare you to tell me otherwise".

McNeil said his government is trying to update an antiquated health system, and said other jurisdictions face similar issues.
