Last summer, speculation was rife the forward would leave the Vincente Calderon for Spanish giants Barcelona.

In the video, Griezmann went on to say that he chose to leave the club to seek a new challenge, and made the decision after a meeting with manager Diego Simeone and club CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin.

Griezmann hasn't felt it necessary to film another "will he, won't he" special this time around, instead opting for the no-nonsense approach of confirming his decision to leave.

However, a little less than a year after committing his future to Diego Simeone's side, he's made a decision to leave the club. "Thank you for everything", he said.

Barca are reportedly willing to pay Griezmann's release clause, which Goal understands will be €130 million (£113m/$146m) on July 1, for him to join ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Griezmann's announcement represents a massive U-turn, having declared Atletico was "My home" in the midst of Barcelona's pursuance of him previous year. "I have you all in my heart. I believe that is what I need".

"In our careers, we have to take decisions that we sometimes regret", Umtiti told French TV programme Telefoot.

"I know Antoine is very happy in Madrid and that he is very well there". He called me. Barcelona is above everything and there are many players that want to come.
