Masahiro Tanaka needed only 73 pitches over seven innings Sunday to get his third win of the season and lead the New York Yankees to a 7-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Glasnow left during the sixth inning of Friday night's 4-3 loss to the New York Yankees with tightness in his forearm.

With the Yankees leading 3-1 in the top of the ninth, the stadium lights suddenly went dark, and only emergency power kept the building from being plunged into complete darkness. Estrada homered on the second pitch from Pruitt after play resumed.

"I'm super glad I took myself out, just looking at the MRI and stuff", said Glasnow, who was relieved to learn he will not need surgery. "You've just got to keep your mind in a positive state".

Raimel Tapia had three hits, including a two-run homer, and pinch-hitter Daniel Murphy hit a three-run double for the Rockies, who took 2 of 3 from San Diego. "It's nice to get back out there".

Sanchez was hit hard on his catching helmet by Guillermo Heredia's backswing Saturday night in the eighth inning, but stayed in the game. Boone said Torres "felt like he was a little sore throwing the ball". Hicks hurt his back during batting practice March 1 and needed a pair of cortisone shots.

Edwin Jackson was acquired by Toronto from Oakland for cash on Saturday and would set a record by pitching for 14 major league teams when he makes his Blue Jays debut. Despite 16 players going on the injured list the Yankees are 24-16, just four wins fewer than after 40 games previous year.
