Some Game of Thrones fans are really pissed off about the show's final season and are demanding that HBO re-do it in a petition that has generated more than 700,000 signatures.

Disappointed fans who signed the ongoing petition left several comments about the final series and even stated that everything "seems rushed", "totally disrespected the author", and even stated that the makers have completely thrown away last eight years of character development into the drain. Having shed the weight of many, many characters in the last episode (apparently rectifying the error made in the Battle of Winterfell to kill absolutely no one - make it make sense), we have far fewer fates to weigh up now.

While GoT still retains a 91 percent overall rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the eighth season sits at just 71 percent.

"I don't want these two anywhere near Star Wars either", one signer notes on the petition, a reference to the recent news that Weiss and Benioff will write and produce the next Star Wars movie coming in 2022.

Over 227,000 signed the petition at the time this report was filed. Critics have called out the final season's "hasty pace and sudden personality shifts". All the build up was for nothing.

Hibberd has been diligently posting exit interviews with every major cast member whose character has died over the season.

"GOT is now like the best relationship you ever had... that ended with hating the person and regretting all those fun memories we once had".

Among television critics, reviews have gone from 92 per cent positive for the Season 8 opener on April 14 to 47 per cent favourable for the penultimate episode, "The Bells," which aired on May 12, according to review aggregator RottenTomatoes.com.

Because Mr Martin's next book, The Winds Of Winter, is still a work-in-progress, the TV series has a different ending. "HBO should have let them walk and given the reigns to other writers".

Whether they love it or hate it, literally millions of people will watch the final episode of Game of Thrones on Sunday, which is poised to be the biggest night in the history of HBO.
