Almost all flights leaving Manchester airport have been grounded and many inbound aircraft have been diverted.

Wigan Warriors fans stranded in Barcelona after chaos at Manchester Airport still face long delays getting home despite the power problem causing the issues being fixed.

Travellers complained of "absolute carnage" and ruined holiday plans after at least 87 flights were cancelled.

Other flights were hit by delays after the problems started on Sunday afternoon.

Some passengers said they had been offered hotels after waiting in the terminal for more than three hours.

There are also reports of passengers being stuck on grounded planes for hours.
