Nancy Pelosi Wants To See Trump 'In Prison'

President Trump stands with World War II veterans during a ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day at the Normandy American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France, on Thursday.

"As I said, we are launching an inquiry now, and whether we'll launch an impeachment inquiry, it may come to that", Nadler said. "Nancy Pelosi is a disaster. And while that may take some more time than some people want it to take, I respect their impatience", Pelosi said on Wednesday.

Trump had responded to the speaker by questioning her mental fitness and ignited further controversy by sharing a doctored video that was edited to suggest, falsely, that Pelosi was impaired.

Nadler reportedly pushed Pelosi to let his committee start an impeachment inquiry, but Pelosi still opposes that idea.

Nadler and dozens of Democrats have been pressing Pelosi to hold impeachment hearings, but the speaker reportedly believes there should be public and bipartisan support to launch the process, according to Politico. And let her do what she wants.

During a press conference on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Pelosi said Democrat lawmakers made it clear they want to pass the USMCA.

"Make no mistake, we know exactly what path we're on", she told reporters Wednesday.

The report did not find any clear evidence to charge members of Trump's campaign with conspiring with Russian Federation, but neither did it exonerate the president on obstruction of justice.

Ashley Etienne, a Pelosi spokeswoman, told Politico that Pelosi and the chairmen 'had a productive meeting about the state of play with the Mueller report'. No US president has ever been removed from office through impeachment proceedings.

Pelosi met with Nadler (D-N.Y.) and several other top Democrats who are aggressively pursuing investigations against the president, according to multiple sources.

Boothe hit back at Summers by calling out Democrats' "hypocrisy" on the public statement from Mueller compared to their criticism in 2016 of then-FBI Director James Comey for rebuking Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server.

"When that decision has to be made, it will be made not by any one individual, it will be made probably by the caucus as a whole", Nadler said.

In the meantime, the Judiciary Committee Democrats are continuing to demand the unredacted copy of the Mueller report - which Attorney General Bill Barr is refusing to release on grounds that it would violate legal protections of grand jury and classified intelligence information. "Nancy will have the largest single voice in it".
