"Claire's Stores, Inc. has voluntarily recalled the JoJo Cosmetic Kit out of an abundance of caution after testing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration indicated the possible presence of trace amounts of asbestos fibers in the powder eye shadow element of the kit", the statement reads.

Siwa, who has amassed nearly 10 million YouTube subscribers, sells her line exclusively at Claire's.

However, Siwa's popular kit has now been recalled after the FDA found the kit along with several other Claire's products have tested positive for asbestos, in a statement released June 6.

You Tube superstar JoJo Siwa, known for her upbeat, online persona and sparkly attitude, has just earned some not so sparkly news.

On June 6, the FDA released a formal statement about the product's recall reasoning on Twitter.

Asbestos can get in the lungs and cause cancer, but the greatest risk is to people with frequent, long-term exposure.

Consumers with questions about the recall can go to Claire's website. According to USA Today, the news comes just three months after the retail giant was forced to pull products after also being contaminated with asbestos.

Siwa's representatives have not responded to DailyMail.com's request for comment.

"Claire's stands behind the safety of this item and all other Claire's cosmetic items, as such small trace amounts are considered acceptable under European and Canadian cosmetic safety regulations." the company said by email.

Both Siwa and North, who sported matching rainbow, side ponytails with large hair bows for the occasion, documented their afternoon with the young singer-dancer exclaiming how fun it was to "babysit" the reality show star's oldest child.

The company's spokesperson continued, "In addition, a year ago Claire's moved to talc-free cosmetic manufacturing to prevent any further concerns about talc contamination".

In its safety alert, the FDA identified the products as Claire's eyeshadows, contour palette and compact powder. The company said it will provide a full refund to those who purchased the product.
