Popular global singer Ariana Grande recently broke down at a concert while singing about her ex boyfriend Mac Miller in the late rapper's hometown.

Grande and Miller dated from summer 2016 until spring 2018.

Reportedly, the singer had a seat reserved in the front row for Mac and a Mac Miller playlist played in the background before she took the center stage. When it came time to sing, "Wish I could say "thank you" to Malcolm", she stopped just before saying her ex's name, but fans encouraged her with cheers. A video has become viral on social media in which the Love Me Harder singer was heard getting choked up while singing the song Thank U, Next which is dedicated to Grande's past boyfriends including Mac Miller. Her music also seems to contain several references to him.

His parents have also kept their son's legacy alive with The Mac Miller Circles Fund, which has already raised $1million in donations to help children and community-building programs in his hometown of Pittsburgh.

This performance was part of her Sweetener tour that started back in Albany in March. A week after his death, Grande broke her silence and shared a tribute to the late rapper on Instagram.

A second source told ET that Grande is heartbroken, adding, "Despite their split, Ariana had always been supportive of his sobriety".
