Bourbon lovers are holding their breathe as a warehouse that stores 45,000 barrels of Jim Beam is on fire in Kentucky, according to the Associated Press.

It's unclear exactly how the fire started, but officials believe a lightning strike could be to blame.

According to the Frankfort Plant Board, crews had to turn the power off in the area in order to put the fire out.

So far, no injuries have been reported. He says crews could be on scene until Wednesday night.

Firefighters are working to extinguish the flames at a warehouse that was one of two that caught fire Tuesday night.

Chandler says one warehouse initially caught fire with flames spreading to the second structure.

A local business called Woodford Feed also brought in sand to build embankments around the damaged rickhouses to prevent leakage into nearby creeks.

Meanwhile, Beam Suntory officials said the lost whiskey, which it said was "from the Jim Beam mash bill", would not affect the spirit's availability to customers.
