7-Eleven Is Giving Away Free Slurpees On

7-Eleven started Slurpee day in 2002 on its 75th birthday. Warning: Popular flavors may run out as the day goes on, so head in early if you've got specific cravings.

Observed every year on July 11 (7/11, get it?), 7-Eleven Day is when 7-Eleven convenience stores across the nation pay homage to their loyal patrons by offering a free small Slurpee to every person that walks through their doors.

It won't be too expensive of a lunch when you're getting a free Slurpee, right?

"Fifty years ago, that meant introducing America to Slurpee, 7-Eleven's beloved brand".

The free small Slurpee cup features colorful, quirky art and the hashtags #TFW (that feeling when) and #slurplife. "Since inventing convenience retailing in 1927, 7-Eleven has continued innovating on behalf of customers for more than 92 years", 7-Eleven CEO Joe DePinto said in a statement. Among them will be Big Bite hot dogs (which will also be offered for that price on national Hot Dog Day July 17), pizza slices and Cherry Slurpee drink flavored-cookies.

Following the free Slurpee day, the deals continue for 7Rewards members.

Oh thank heaven once again for July 11. Members who scan their app or card or enter their phone number when they pick up their free drink on 7-Eleven day will receive a coupon redeemable for the next 30 days for a free any-size Slurpee drink in the app.
