AKA Cheddar, Captain Raymond Holt dog - has died.

His owner broke the news on Instagram Tuesday, sharing that "my precious boy Stewart crossed the rainbow bridge today" after enjoying a day full of his favorite food and activities.

The owner recounted that Stewart spent his final moments at the beach, "frolicking in the surf" and enjoying a picnic of In-N-Out burgers.

They explained their vet then met them on the California beach and Stewart "went to sleep peacefully in my arms".

He is survived by his sister and equally talented actress Stella - who has since taken over the iconic TV role.

Though Cheddar has been played by several dogs during Brooklyn Nine-Nine's run, Stewart has held the role the longest.

Cheddar has played a vital role in the Nine-Nine since the first season, including serving as ring-bearer for Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy's (Melissa Fumero) wedding.

Executive producer Dan Goor also revealed that even when Stewart got in the way of a shot, nobody could stay mad at him.

It's clear Stewart left an indelible paw print on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

To paraphrase Captain Holt again: you were no common bitch, Cheddar. RIP.
