The former midfielder made an emotional return to the Stamford Bridge and was officially unveiled as the new head coach of the club this week.

"We've been really happy with them", Lampard said.

For Frank Lampard, it all began with a rather nondescript draw played out under slate grey skies in the unlikely setting of Phibsborough in Dublin's northside.

"The majority of successful teams do move the ball quickly".

"So if he's given that year - as long as they don't get relegated! - and he goes into the season after this one, he's got a fair to meddling chance".

Bohemian, a team in the midst of their domestic season, had impressed as the game progressed, yet Lampard will not fret too much.

Another career highlight for a player who featured at the Club World Cup during his two-year stint with Wellington, Molloy celebrated the memorable 89th minute strike with an equally impressive somersault - the same celebration he used to perform at David Farrington Park in Miramar.

"That's why those games are so important".

But as the late equaliser rattled the net, chants of "you're getting sacked in the morning" towards Lampard were heard from the home crowd, as reported by The Sun.

Speaking about his managerial debut with Chelsea, Lampard told the club's website: "It was a tough game for us". I didn't think they'd get it last season.

"There was a bit of pressure on the lads, we've been working them hard so I'm pleased with the outcome".

"The quicker we get to the level we want the better it is for us".

"We wanted to win the game, but it's not about that".

"It is about individuals getting fit and pushing themselves to the limit and I thought some of the performances - particularly from the younger lads - was really good".
