Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha- could he become a Gunner

Arsenal are hoping to tempt Crystal Palace into selling Wilfried Zaha by offering them three players plus cash in a deal that would be worth £80m, according to The Sun.

The Gunners have already failed with one offer, with Palace snubbing their £40million bid at the end of last month.

As they are unwilling to get near that figure, Arsenal are now discussing putting players into the deal with Calum Chambers, Carl Jenkinson and Mohamed Elneny all possible makeweights.

Zaha has been identified as Emery's primary target but we've struggling to agree terms for the Ivory Coast worldwide having seen our opening £40m bid rejected by Palace as it fell well short of their valuation.

Wilfried Zaha is one of the best wingers in the Premier League and the gunners lacked a clinical winger last season hence Arsenal trying to get the signature of the Ivorian worldwide in this transfer window.

When asked about his future earlier this month, the 26-year-old said: "The only thing that's on my mind right now is trying to win this cup".

However, with Arsenal struggling to convince Crystal Palace they have the means and the willingness to meet their valuation of the wide-man, no deal looks close to happening.

Zaha has made it clear he wants to leave this summer and has expressed a desire to join Arsenal as he supported the club as a child so Palace would be foolish to keep hold of an unhappy player.

"It's my brother's dream though to play for Arsenal".

Zaha, who is now away on worldwide duty with Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, has made Palace aware of his desire to leave.

The talented forward was a constant bright spark for Palace in the Premier League and is considered to be one of the best players outside of the top six clubs.
