Square Enix has since chimed in on the error itself, stating that the company has "no plans for other platforms" while reiterating that Final Fantasy VII Remake will release on March 3rd 2020 for the PS4.

The related materials with the March 3 date were removed right away, and Graff apologized for the mistake.

Square Enix has clarified that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is only coming to the PlayStation 4, after Xbox Germany erroneously included the game on its Facebook page overnight, leading many to believe the JRPG would be hitting Xbox One next March. We took the video off immediately.

This latest post from Xbox Germany (found by Twitter user Nibel), dubbed an "internal mistake" from the crew, is the only information we have. I mean, never say never, but an Xbox One version of Final Fantasy VII Remake doesn't sound particularly hopeful, does it? That changed a little yesterday, when Xbox Germany mistakenly announced the game for Xbox One. Graff apologised for the error, and said that there was "no announcement" due from Xbox. "We make sure this doesn´t happen again".

That said, there's still no word on a PC release. A release through Microsoft is good news for PC players, and it's possible that Square Enix follows the example it set with Final Fantasy XV, but for now, it seems like a console might be your best bet.
