Khan all set for fight in Saudi Arabia

It was a disappointment to see British-Pakistan boxer Amir Khan's fight with Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat being cancelled, but boxing fans have something to rejoice since the former has won the match against Australian Billy Dib.

Amir was due to face Goyat at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in the first ever Pakistan-India showdown in a boxing ring.Amir will still headline the groundbreaking boxing extravaganza in the Middle East that also features Hughie Fury, Prince Patel and Dave Penalosa all in championship title action.

Dib, who has previously fought three weight classes below Khan as a super-featherweight, was overwhelmed by Khan, and he was saved when his corner threw in the towel, saving the Sydney native from serious injuries.

Amir will now fight Two-Time World Champion Billy Dib on Friday in Jeddah after his original opponent Neeraj Goyat was involved in a vehicle accident, said a news release issued here.

Khan reportedly earned $12 million for making light work of Dib in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, and paid credit to the fearless Aussie.

In his post-fight interview, Khan said: "I felt very comfortable in there". I slowed down a little bit instead of rushing all the time, I was seeing everything. "Hopefully we come back again at the end of the year and bring Pacquiao here", he said. "Dib is a respected and experienced two-time World Champion so I'm looking forward to pitting my skill against him". I just have to make sure my eyes are on the game.
