Donald Trump and Arnold Schwarzenegger go toe-to-toe... again

President Donald Trump on Thursday returned to ranting about one of his favorite topics ― how the ratings for "Celebrity Apprentice" fell when actor Arnold Schwarzenegger took over from him as the host of the reality show.

Speaking at the White House, he said: "MSNBC, they're stone cold insane". They wanted a big extension.

Former California government Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) struck back on President TrumpDonald John TrumpIn 1710 the British indicted an orange-haired populist - it didn't go well Philadelphia mayor post photo of Rapinoe on City Hall: 'Equal pay now! "He died. I was there", Trump said, according to journalists who were there.

Trump fronted The Apprentice from 2004 to February 2015, with NBC eventually cutting ties with the businessman and then president hopeful over the now infamous comments he made about immigrants, saying that Mexico was sending "rapists" to the US.

While Schwarzenegger blamed the declining ratings on Trump's retained involvement in the show, Trump claimed that Schwarzenegger was simply bad at the job.

In a tweet, the Terminator star wrote: "I'm still here. Want to compare tax returns, @realDonaldTrump?".

Speaking to Empire Magazine, the True Lies actor said at the time: "It's not about the show", Schwarzenegger notes of his resignation, "because everyone I ran into came up to me and said, 'I love the show. but I turned it off because as soon as I read Trump's name I'm outta there!'"

Schwarzenegger reacted to this broadside with a news article in which he disclosed his tax returns.

It's far from the first time that Arnie and Trump have locked horns.
