Metallica Are Getting Their Very Own Children's Book

At this stage, there's no word as to what each letter of the alphabet will stand for in the new book, though there's a good chance "C" will represent Cliff Burton, while "D" may nor may not feature an appearance from Dave Mustaine.

All proceeds will go to the band's All Within My Hands Foundation, which supports workforce education and the fight for food security.

"We're having a bit of fun with our latest book release, "The ABCs of Metallica". Is L for Lulu, or is it for Les Claypool, who once failed an audition to be the band's bass player?

A statement on the book reads: "The ABCs Of Metallica looks back at the remarkable history of heavy metal's most celebrated group". ABCs of Metallica was co-written by Howie Abrams (The Merciless Book of Metal Lists), while Michael "Kaves" McLeer provided the colorful illustrations.

It is already available for pre-order on the official website, where bundles with adult- and child-sized shirts are also for sale.

The ABC's of Metallica is coming November 26 in book stores and online. Dates for the run can be found here and you can get ticketing info at this location.
