Oklahoma authorities were stunned last month when they pulled over a auto and discovered an open bottle of whiskey, a rattlesnake and a canister of radioactive uranium, according to KOCO.

Police in Oklahoma said they found a rattlesnake, a canister of radioactive powdered uranium and an open bottle of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey during a traffic stop of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

An officer in Oklahoma stopped a vehicle with expired tags only to discover that it was stolen.

The man was immediately placed under arrest after police learned that the vehicle had been stolen.

Ms Rivera, 30, was charged with possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.

Driver Stephen Jennings and passenger Rachael Rivera were arrested after the unusual items were found in their vehicle on Wednesday morning in Guthrie, Oklahoma. A search confirmed his claim and turned up a almost full open bottle of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey, along with a silver canister containing a yellow powdery substance.

After making the arrests, police began the process of impounding the SUV - when they noticed a terrarium in the backseat.

Police also found an open bottle of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey next to the gun. Gibbs says the man also admitted to having a gun in the console of the vehicle.

"When that happens ... we call in a company that deals with that specifically and it's taken safely into possession".

Police were not able to charge Jennings because investigators found the amount of uranium he had was legal and could be purchased on sites like Amazon.com.

Jennings also lucked out on being charged with possession of a risky animal as it is "snake season" in Oklahoma and he had the proper hunting license.
