Bayern Munich and Man City have agreement for Sane

Bayern Munich are confident closing a deal for Manchester City attacker Leroy Sane this week.

Bayern manager Niko Kovac previously stated that he was confident about landing the Germany global but later apologised for the comments.

However, they have yet to strike an agreement with City, who appear to have failed in their bid to persuade Sane to sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.

'What (sporting director) Txiki (Begiristain) sent me two or three weeks ago, it was quite close. Now it's not. Now it's a bit different. "That's where it is", Guardiola was quoted as saying by the Mirror.

"I'm not aware of the rumours".

'I want players who want to stay because it's impossible for me as a manager to convince a player to do what we want to do when his head is away from here.

Sane has travelled with the rest of the City squad to London and it will be telling if he starts - or is left out entirely - against Liverpool. If he knocks on the door and tells me he wants to leave then we are going to speak with the club. The report adds that the Manchester-based club have offered the 23-year-old a much-improved contract which will see him earn £170,000-a-week. Have your say in the comment section below.
