Well now you can, and claim that it's what the pros do.

As Pistons center Andre Drummond prepares for yet another season in Detroit, his offseason regimen includes working out, eating healthy, getting court reps in, and drinking beer. In addition to cutting things like red meat out of his diet, Drummond has added a couple of things as well - including beer.

But I am not, and Drummond seems more than happy with his beer-a-day.

"If you do it the right way, it's actually not bad for you and that's why I'm doing it", Drummond said.

At 96 calories per serving, Miller Lite is the beverage of choice, mostly because that's what his chef got for him.

Listed at 6-foot-11 and 280 pounds, Drummond is the third-heaviest National Basketball Association player behind Zion Williamson and Boban Marjanovich.

Drummond last weighed 280 pounds at the end of the 2018-19 season, and he'd probably benefit from dropping 10-20 of those for his upcoming campaign - especially in today's National Basketball Association, with modern big men being more athletic and a bit smaller.

The two-time All-Star and reigning rebound leader is coming off his best season, averaging 17.3 points and 15.6 rebounds in 79 games. So as long as it works, who's to question the man?
