Andrew Luck Throwing 'Heck Out Of The Ball'

Quarterback Andrew Luck has missed almost all of the Indianapolis Colts' training camp practices this summer with what has been described as a calf injury suffered while working out in April, after also sitting out the team's organized team activities in May because of the injury. Following the setback on July 30, Luck was shut down from all practices. The owner also pointed out it has nothing to do with the Achilles. "I think after the (Kevin) Durant thing, everyone is erring on the side of caution, but quite frankly, this is not even in the Achilles tendon", Irsay said, per Sirius XM NFL Radio.

"I know everyone's having their questions about Andrew, and that sort of thing, but I really feel very confident that he's going to find his way through this thing", Colts owner Jim Irsay said Tuesday on SiriusXM. "It's a bone - I'm not good at these things - but it's. a small little bone". It could explain why the pain is still there after all these months.

He missed all of the Colts' organized team activities and minicamp in the spring and has taken part in just three practices - none as a full participant - in training camp.

Luck doesn't seem likely to play at all in the preseason, and his status for Week 1 of the regular season is very much up in the air. It was a tough lesson to learn, but it is one of the biggest reasons why he's still off the field going through rigorous rehab.
