Little Women 2019

The first trailer for "Little Women" hit the internet Tuesday morning, giving audiences a first look at the all-star cast that spent months filming in MA past year.

There's nothing little about the anticipation growing around Greta Gerwig's adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's coming-of-age classic.

Set to come out at Christmas time this year, the movie stars Saoirse Ronan as Jo, Emma Watson as Meg, Florence Pugh as Amy and Eliza Scanlen as Beth. "We've got ambition and talent as well as just beauty", Ronan's Jo says in the clip. I'm sure some folks will just see this as Lady Bird: 1868, but this doesn't simply feel like a rehash.

Following her acclaimed solo directorial debut Lady Bird, Greta Gerwig has jumped into studio filmmaking with a new adaptation of Little Women. The film opens December 25th and also stars Meryl Streep, Laura Dern, Bob Odenkirk, and Chris Cooper. In Gerwig's take, the beloved story of the March sisters - four young women each determined to live life on her own terms - is both timeless and timely.

Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Laura Dern and more have teamed up with Lady Bird's Greta Gerwig for what promises to be the flawless Christmas Day activity this year.
