London 'road-rage attack': Woman crushed between cars

Eyewitness reports said that he did not attempt to free the woman.

Mr Anand, a company owner, said police officers arrived shortly afterwards and Tasered the driver as he attempted to get away.

Terrifying footage shows commuters scramble to help the woman as she wails out in agony trapped between a black Mercedes and a light-blue Range Rover. It is believed she came out of the Evoque to confront the other driver and he hit her when he tried to speed off. It was someone else who got in and reversed the auto to free her.

Police believe that the Range Rover driver may have deliberately drove into the woman before trying to flee the scene.

The third vehicle involved in the incident is a double-decker London bus, which the Mercedes seems to have slammed into after cutting in front of it.

The Metropolitan Police said a 23-year-old driver had been Tasered following the collision on Sunday evening, with officers now investigating whether the vehicle had been driven at the woman deliberately. He remarked, "I don't know why anyone would try to run in a situation like that". The taxi driver, in a black Mercedes, was then Tasered and arrested.

She crumbles on the ground and yells in pain. She appeared to be in tremendous pain. He was later also charged with grievous bodily harm and driving whilst disqualified. Witnesses claimed the suspect was in a rage as he was taken into custody.

The Met added that a second man subsequently complained of feeling unwell and had been taken to hospital.

Police said the injured woman was taken to a central London hospital for treatment on Sunday and was found to have suffered potentially life-changing but not life-threatening injuries.

The police also confirmed no injuries on the bus after it was rammed.

"An altercation occurred after the collision and one man - no further details - was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray", the spokesperson adds.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in central London.
