But, unlike in previous CoD titles, this year's Modern Warfare will let players tinker with their class while in the middle of a multiplayer match.

In the past, players were only given the option to change and edit their class before an online match. Everybody scoffed at it when we first said we wanted to put it in, but it feels so good when you quickly change to a different attachment depending on the situation.

When Activision lifted the lid on all things multiplayer in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, there was a heck of a lot of gameplay.

Following on from Kotaku's report earlier in the year, which claimed that development duties on the project had shifted from Sledgehammer and Raven to Treyarch, who weren't expected to release a new game until 2021, a new rumour on social media has corroborated this information and elaborated on what the studio is working on. Honestly, it's looking pretty great, and definitely reminds us of spending endless hours in the original Modern Warfare. Case in point, the infamous "No Russian" mission that takes place in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The new content for Modern Warfare won't slow down after the game officially hits consoles and PC this coming October, as Activision has confirmed that the game will receive more post-launch content than any other game in the history of the franchise, and one of those pieces of content is rumored to be a free-to-play Battle Royale mode.
