Cuomo, responding with multiple expletives, said he'd "throw you down these stairs" lika a "punk".

A video has gone viral showing CNN anchor Chris Cuomo in an altercation with a man who called him "Fredo" - which Cuomo says is as offensive to Italians and Italian-Americans as the N-word is to African-Americans. Although he's more temperamental than his little brother Michael (Robert De Niro), who goes on to become the mafia don after Vito's oldest son Sonny (James Caan) is killed, Fredo still has the reputation of being the weakest of the Corleone kids. "I think what it is is arrogance".

"I thought it was your name", the man said. His tone and weak claims of "I thought that was your real name, " just didn't pass the smell test to me. "But when you're like Chris Cuomo, who's in the public eye, you have to be more careful about things like that".

I'm not buying the guy's Rush defense. Cuomo instead kept promising to hurt the guy until other individuals stepped in between the pair. He was insulting him while playing the ignorance card. But, perhaps that is simply because Cuomo does not understand the gravitas of the N-word. And, this gem: "You wanna be a man, then stand up like a man.I'll f--ing ruin your s-t". What you think of CNN, also meaningless.

This morning, Cuomo posted an apology on Twitter, saying "I should be better than the guys baiting me". CNN has been losing to rivals Fox News and MSNBC for years. And, probably a near equal amount of praise. Was Cuomo in the right for standing up for himself and Italian Americans?

Ana Navarro called Trump Jr "Fredo" in 2018 and host Jake Tapper has used the alleged slur on Twitter. If there's something you want to say about what I do on television, then say it. Sliwa told Cuomo that he thought of his family as "la Cuomo Nostra". But, I respected it. "You Italian?" he challenged.

"Fredo", however, is not an ethnic slur, but an insult to a person's intelligence compared to their father and brothers. He continued, "It's like the n-word for us".

"I've got a little bit of." the man stammered. Rather a huge overstatement.

He ranted: "They use it as an Italian aspersion".

"I know Chris as a former CNN colleague and, you know, he doesn't deserve this", Lord said.

"We're gonna have a f*ckin problem", Cuomo said to the man who allegedly had asked to take a picture with him. They're basically saying what he did was acceptable.

He's clearly trying to get a rise out of the CNN anchor... and boy does it work! But, that doesn't mean Cuomo's reaction is the kind of behavior that an global news organization like CNN should be condoning.
