Mark McCormick, father of late rapper Mac Miller, attended an event held at his son's permanent vigil at Pittsburgh's Blue Slide Park on the anniversary of his death. And as the grieving man spoke about Mac's 26 years of life, he also got real about drugs - and the man who allegedly supplied the deadly dose.

"So they finally caught the motherf**ker that sold him the drugs that killed him", said McCormick. And many of us were young, including me, experimented with drugs. But it's a different f-king world out there, and all it takes is a stone-a little tiny stone of fentanyl and cocaine-and you're dead.

He urged Miller's fans, "Don't take the risk, it's just not worth it".

Last week, the U.S. Attorney's Office confirmed that Cameron James Pettit had been arrested on federal charges of selling fentanyl-laced pills to Miller two days before the rapper died of an overdose.

Mac Miller's family and friends believe they are close to getting some closure, after the man authorities believe sold the rapper tainted pills that he accidentally overdosed on has been charged.

The LA County Medical Examiner later officially determined the Ladders rapper died of mixed drug toxicity involving fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol. He is due for arraignment in October. "He was always loving and kind to others".

"According to the affidavit in support of the criminal complaint, Pettit and others distributed narcotics to 26-year-old Malcolm James McCormick - who recorded and performed under the name Mac Miller - approximately two days before McCormick suffered a fatal drug overdose in Studio City on September 7, 2018", the press release reads.

We can't even imagine going through something like this as a parent.
