5 injured, 1 person arrested after stabbing in Tallahassee

The suspect, 41-year-old Antwann D. Brown, was arrested nearly immediately after police arrived on the scene at Dyke Industries. Police claim he clocked in at 8 a.m. local time.

The suspect in a workplace mass stabbing Wednesday was an employee at the company who sought out his victims, Florida police said. Outlaw said. "All of our responding officers, they're also very cognizant of what day this is". Outlaw said he didn't know what the dispute was about. "But fortunately, from what we can tell, there was no relationship to the anniversary".

Police say they plan on searching Brown's house at The Dwellings at 5100 Blountstown Highway in Tallahassee. Most recently, he was released from prison in July 2009.

The attack, at Dyke Industries on the northwest side of the city, left five people with multiple stab wounds.

Tallahassee Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Danielle Buchanan had initially said six people were being treated before the count was revised.

Dyke Industries has locations across the southeast including Tallahassee and two others in Florida. The victims were hospitalized after being attacked with a folding knife, CNN reports, with one of them in serious condition, two in fair condition, and two listed in good condition.

Dyke Industries manufactures doors and is "the largest online retailer of wood, steel and fiberglass exterior, interior, storm and patio doors and door products in the U.S. today", its website says.
