Terrence Howard just broke the news that he isn't just going to be done with "Empire" when the show is over - he's going to be done with acting!

The news was heaped upon an unsuspecting world by Howard via a sit-down interview with Extra's correspondent, Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst.

Howard, 50, did not share why he made a decision to quit and did not elaborate on what career he plans to pursue instead.

Without hesitation, Howard responded, "Oh, I'm done with acting".

Howard did not specify what he meant by "truth".

Of saying goodbye to Empire, he added: "I love the cast members".

He said that he'll miss the cast of "Empire" and the crew.

These pronouncements come on the heels of being investigated by the U.S. Department of Justice for possible criminal tax evasion.

The federal government has doubts on him of committing financial crimes and Mira Pak whom he had divorced in the year 2015 but got engaged to her again later in 2018.

The case is reportedly being handled by the United States Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and is ongoing.

Reps for Howard didn't instantly reply to TheWrap's request for remark Thursday. According to the outlet, the lien stems from taxes Howard reportedly owes from 2010. He also faced tax liens in 2010 for $1.1 million and in 2006 for over $600,000, according to The Blast.
