See? Bowen Yang made his mark on that sketch, no problem.

Saturday Night Live has taken heat over the years for an overall lack of ethnic diversity, with scant Asian representation among its cast members or hosts.

Joining Yang is Chloe Fineman and Shane Gillis. All three performers join the show in the wake of a significant exit: three-time Emmy nominee Leslie Jones recently announced that she would depart the series after five seasons. She became a featured player along with Sasheer Zamata and Pete Davidson in 2014.

"Ahhhh!. @bowenyang is making history!"

Fellow comedian Joel Kim Booster and TV writer Ira Madison III joined Yang's chorus of internet fans, who also know him for his famous videos hilariously lip-synching over iconic lines from movies and TV shows like "America's Next Top Model" and the Julia Roberts film "Erin Brockovich".

Saturday Night Live is adding a trio of cast members ahead of season 45.

Saturday Night Live will be returning to NBC later this month when Woody Harrelson hosts with musical guest Billie Eilish on September 28.

In addition to hilariously impersonating public figures including Elizabeth Holmes, Timothée Chalamet and Lindsay Lohan for her almost 65,000 Instagram followers, Chloe Fineman is a veteran of The Groundlings, a Los Angeles-based improv and sketch comedy troupe which counts Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig among its alumni, and she was named a New Face at the 2018 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal.
