Meghan Markle Friend Misha Nonoo Opens Up About Duchess

The Duchess of Sussex

The Duchess of Sussex

Introducing the new Smart Works collection, #TheSmartSet Over the past year, The Duchess of Sussex and @SmartWorksCharity have come together to launch a very special initiative.

For every item bought, one will be donated to the charity which Meghan became the patron of earlier this year. Several of Diana's diamond were included in Meghan's engagement ring, and the Duchess of Sussex was spotted wearing the late Princess of Wales's aquamarine ring while leaving her wedding reception with Harry on May 19, 2018.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will soon be boarding on their first official royal tour as a family along with their son Archie. She launched her fashion collection with her patronage, Smart Works, showing off five pieces she hoped women could wear for an interview or in the office.

I've spent an afternoon listening in on the conversations Meghan has enjoyed with dressing volunteers, interview coaches, patrons and clients at Smart Works, the charity which has helped more than 15,000 British women back into employment via a two-pronged approach of personal styling and interview training. Not only was she sporting a blouse and pants from the line, but she had an extra sparkle courtesy some jewellery once owned by the late Princess Diana!

The capsule line includes the shirt, plants, a blazer, a dress, and a purse. How cool is that?

Speaking about the capsule collection, the duchess said: "This is the kind of work I've been doing for a really long time and to be able to do it here in my new home of the United Kingdom means quite a bit to me".

Saunders said: "Give people what they need to get back into the workplace".

"As women, it is 100 percent our responsibility, I think, to support and up-lift each other".

"Today is about fashion not food, but this is a similar project because both have women helping women at their core", she said.

Nonoo said of Meghan, who wore one of her designs for her first public outing with Prince Harry, "She genuinely seeks to help people".

"The only gesture that hints of any tension in this ritual of energy, excitement and enthusiasm to get back to her work is her hair-touch but this has always been a signature gesture for Meghan and could easily be caused by the strong wind as much as any underlying nerves". "I think, really being the person that she is, for each brand that she's working with, she's really entrusted us".

She may be back to work, but she's also a working mom!
