Dortmund braced for Sancho exit

Manchester United have been given positive news in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho.

Landing Sancho would require an offer in excess of £100 million ($123m) to meet Dortmund's asking price, with the Bundesliga title hopefuls financially secure but willing to sell at a reasonable valuation.

Sancho is arguably England's most exciting young player right now and any move to Old Trafford would see him unite with global team-mates including Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford.

And the London-born attacker has surprised Zorc with how quickly he has become one of the best players in the Bundesliga.

The English forward, now at Borussia Dortmund, is setting the football world alight in Germany, and, with three goals and five assists in his first six Bundesliga games, has already started building on last season's great form.

Michael Zorc, Borussia Dortmund's director of football, is aware of all of this, and knows full well Sancho's time in Dortmund is limited, much like Ousmane Dembélé's was.

'No decision has been made, ' Zorc informed Kicker when requested about his future past 2020.

"You do not have to be a prophet to say that Jadon will certainly not be here for another five years".

"I doubt that would have been possible at top English clubs".

Sancho has established himself as one of Europe's most promising talents after leaving Premier League champions City two years ago.

'We trust the players very early, and we are not afraid to let them play. He acknowledges that. He's an instinctive footballer, a street footballer, he's always a footballer, but he's always setting new limits. "That alone is his motivation".

United are marooned in 10th in the Premier League and have made their worst ever start to a Premier League season, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer under mounting pressure to improve the club's fortunes.

Four goals in eight appearances so far this season shows he is continuing to improve and with United having lost depth and quality in attack with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez both departing without replacements, United will look at Sancho as the player to transform their fortunes.
