Bills QB Allen cleared from concussion protocol

Jonathan Jones of the New England Patriots hits Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills in the helmet forcing Josh Allen from the game with an injury during the fourth quarter at New Era Field on September 29, 2019 in Orchard Park, New York.

There were a few angles that made the hit look malicious, but the National Football League determined that Jones turned his shoulder to stop the runner.

Nonetheless, the Bills are walking away with it with their starting quarterback in-tact and the Patriots with their standout slot cornerback eligible to play.

Allen is expected to play on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans after passing concussion protocol, according to the team.

Jones told the media this week that he reached out to Allen privately to discuss the hit. "Got a chance to talk to him". He was a limited participant in practice Wednesday and Thursday before practicing fully on Friday, when Buffalo listed his status as questionable. The second-year starter has thrown six interceptions and lost two fumbles. It caused uproar throughout the National Football League and Bills head coach Sean McDermott believed that Jones should've been ejected from the game. "It is a shame to see a player like Josh, or any player for that matter, go down on a hit like that..."I asked for an explanation".
