The news about Robert Forster demise has left Hollywood in shock.

On Breaking Bad, Forster played the enigmatic role of Ed aka The Disappearer, which he reprised for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (released on October 11). Dally Has a Lover, opposite Arlene Francis.

After starring in two failed TV series, Forster's once-promising career went into a steady decline as he began accepting lead and supporting parts in exploitation and horror films such as 1978's Avalanche, 1980's Alligator, 1983's Vigilante. and as the heavy opposite Chuck Norris in 1986's The Delta Force.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Forster made his film debut in the 1967 John Huston film "Reflections in a Golden Eye", starred in the television series "Banyon" and in Haskell Wexler's "Medium Cool".

Forster played Tim Allen's father in "Last Man Standing", a rare comedy appearance, and played the father of a comatose mom in Alexander Payne's "The Descendants", which was nominated for ensemble acting prizes by SAG and the Gotham awards.

Forster completed three additional projects in 2019: El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories and Werewolf.

Forster is survived by his children: Bobby, Elizabeth, Kate and Maeghen; his grandchildren: Tess, Liam, Jack and Olivia; and long time partner, Denise Grayson.

Details of a memorial service have not yet been announced.
