Errol Spence Jr reportedly in intensive care after high-speed Ferrari crash

That fact that Spence is only suffering so far just facial lacerations merely is astonishing.

Given how serious this crash apparently was, Spence's good fortune cannot be overlooked.

Champion boxer Errol Spence Jr. was involved in a serious auto accident in the early morning hours in Dallas on Thursday. No other vehicles were reportedly involved in the incident, and Spence has been taken to the hospital.

Spence, 29, is one of the pound-for-pound best fighters in the world.

The reigning IBF and WBC welterweight champion was thrown from his Ferrari after driving at high speed in Dallas on Thursday morning but has miraculously escaped without suffering serious injury.

Errol Spence an incredibly lucky young man.

Errol Spence Jr., center, celebrates a victory in Los Angeles on September 28, 2019. "With that, I'm praying for @ErrolSpenceJr & his family because he has a lot of life to live and I pray he recovers quickly & fully".

'Errol was in an accident, and his parents are with him at the hospital, ' read a statement provided to the Daily Mail by PBC spokesman Tim Smith. The 29-year-old is 26-0 in his career.

We wish him a speedy and full recovery. The superstar fighter is considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world and with this auto crash in mind, it's hard to say what could become of his career. "We'll update everyone when we have more to share".

Spence's Ferrari bounced end-over-end down the street before crashing.

Stephen Young has written about Dallas news for the Observer since 2014. It appears to be lacking a roof in photos from the accident scene.
