President Trump board Air Force One with the champs on Friday

It was announced just before departure that the Louisiana Little League World Series championship team is aboard Air Force One with the president.

It's the ride of their lives when the president invited them to fly back home with him on Friday. "See you at the White House!" On Friday, the team - along with the Rowan County All-Stars, who won the Little League Softball World Series - celebrated their win with President Donald Trump at the White House.

"The champs are flying back to Louisiana on Air Force One with @realDonaldTrump after celebrating their Little League World Series Championship victory at The @WhiteHouse! I'm so proud of this team!"

The Eastbank All-Stars are based in suburban New Orleans.

The team traveled to Washington to meet with the president today in the White House.

Trump was in Lake Charles Friday to campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidates Ralph Abraham and Eddie Rispone.
