Before the Oklahoma-Texas game even started Saturday, officials dealt both teams unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for a pregame incident on the field during warmups.

Big 12 referee Mike Defee made the announcement after the teams had to be separated at midfield following warm-ups at the Cotton Bowl.

Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley said this week that his players would not be displaying the "Horns Down" signal during the Texas game. Therefore, any player who gets an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty during the game for any reason will get ejected (two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties equals an ejection under NCAA rules).
