As per rumors, Xiaomi is ready to bring back its Mi Note series after two years.

Last month, Xiaomi introduced the Mi Mix Alpha smartphone with the first-of-its-kind 4D surround display and 108MP rear camera. Sure, skipping six iterations seems unusual, but it would bring the Mi Note series in line numerically with the main Mi series, the most recent of which was the Xiaomi Mi 9 (and with the Mi 10 on the horizon).

Xiaomi started the Mi Note series with the launch of the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro in 2015. The final Mi Note smartphone came out in 2017 with the Mi Note 3, after which Xiaomi CEO announced to halt the Mi Note and the Mi Max series. However, there haven't been any other details about the features or pricing about the smartphone.

Now, it looks like Xiaomi is reintroducing the series with the launch of the Mi Note 10. In fact, at a time when smartphone makers are doing 90Hz display, Xiaomi appears to be planning a smartphone display which refreshes at 120Hz. Now with the first MIUI 11 beta out, the folks over at XDA Devlopers have discovered a refresh rate toggle in the display settings which comes with a 120 Hz option.

Possibly one of the most thankless tasks on the face of the entire planet right now is maintaining security over new smartphone launches. Another code uncovered by XDA Developers shows a new "Tele 5X" camera mode on MIUI 11 and another "ultra tele" mode whose descriptions reads "50X zoom". In addition to that, there is an ultra-telephoto mode that will offer up to 50x digital zoom. It's hard to say at the moment. It's best to wait for Xiaomi to confirm or deny them.
