The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge meeting Teen Heroes at Kensington Palace

On Tuesday, Kensington Royal took to social media to share pics from an event earlier this month where Prince William, Kate Middleton and the 22-year-old singer honored Radio 1's Teen Heroes of 2019.

Inspired by the 1930s, Kate's brown and black dress featured exaggerated tuck detail at the shoulders, a mini V-neck, body-skimming ruching through the front, long sleeves and a floaty midi-length skirt.

Alongside the images, the caption read: 'Radio 1's Teen Heroes of 2019 visited The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace earlier this month, along with chart-topping superstar Camila Cabello and BBC Radio 1 DJs Clara Amfo and Greg James'.

"Their passion and dedication to help others is incredible and they really blew me away".

This is the fourth year that Radio 1's Teen Heroes have been invited to the Palace, where ten finalists were greeted by Kate and William who praised them for their inspirational work and their dedication to helping others.

Now in its tenth year, Teen Heroes honors 12-17-year-olds who inspire others, show courage and bravery or make a difference in their communities.

Despite being advised by doctors to remain indoors from the age of 3, Hazel has made a film and delivered a series of high school speeches to raise awareness of XP.

One of the winners is Scarlett, who is a young carer to her mother, older sister who has type 1 diabetes, and grandmother who has depression.

A second victor - 14-year-old Scarlett - has autism and an incurable nerve condition called HNPP, which makes everyday tasks like carrying shopping bags hugely painful.

The awards celebrate "the selfless, courageous and exceptional achievements" of young people between the ages of 12 and 17.
