The cat that ran onto the field at MetLife Stadium during Monday night's Giants-Cowboys game has not yet been captured.

MetLife Stadium, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, has been trying to answer that question ever since the interruptive feline ran off the field.

Metlife Stadium says that they are working with the humane society in an effort to capture the cat, but they've had no luck--Yet!

Will the black cat that made an unscheduled on-field appearance this week on Monday Night Football return to the gridiron at MetLife Stadium again this season?

MetLife Stadium officers said Thursday the lookup for the fleet feline that briefly delayed the nationally televised video game between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys on Monday evening has been unsuccessful.

The group posted to Instagram early Thursday morning that several traps have already been set.

The efforts to catch the cat have spawned an array of memes and jokes suggesting that the Giants or the New York Jets, MetLife's other National Football League tenant, may be interested in signing the black-haired beauty in an effort to give a boost to their respective moribund offenses.

"There have been erroneous reports in the media that MetLife Stadium houses and feeds 300 cats which is simply not true", Strus added in her statement. After that arrived up empty, stadium officials asked PuppykittyNYCity - a lure, neuter, launch and no-kill shelter - for help.

"We are grateful for the outpouring support and will continue to work with PuppyKittyNYCity to try and locate the black cat".

Stadium workers, accompanied by New Jersey state troopers, herded the feline towards the end zone away from the players. Let the cat live its life away from the spotlights and roaring crowds, if it so chooses.

With MetLife Stadium serving as the scene for seven more National Football League games this season, an encore appearance is far from out of the question.

MetLife Stadium was crafted by the Giants and Jets applying private cash.

"From time to time, we have viewed cats on the advanced and the Meadowlands Racetrack (situated at the Meadowlands Sports Intricate) has a TNR application in put and at present feeds somewhere around 30 barn cats", the statement reported.
