It's unclear what, exactly, the new venture will offer in terms of products, but the press release says it will be "centered around wellness, discovery and overall personal growth with the hope of facilitating connections and shared experiences across the globe".

Rapper Snoop Dogg has also partnered with Canopy through a unit called Tweed.

"Drake's perspective as a culture leader and entrepreneur combined with Canopy Growth's breadth of cannabis knowledge will allow our new company to bring an unmatched cannabis experience to global markets", said Canopy Growth CEO Mark Zekulin. "The idea of being able to build something special in an industry that is ever-growing has been inspiring".

Canopy Growth will provide all of the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the More Life facility cannabis production facility in Toronto and will retain all of the rights to distribute the product that is grown at the location.

The new company, More Life Growth Company, will be based in Drake's hometown of Toronto. "Breakfast Television" host Dina Pugliese was among those who received the bouquet during a live TV broadcast. (BNN Bloomberg)HighSnobiety investigated this, learning that More Life Growth Company is now listed in the Canadian trademark database: "According to the database, the company is listed to sell goods pertaining to "Cannabis products and accessories, medical cannabis, THC and CBD" as well as corresponding apparel and footwear". The trademark was filed on October 21 and the applicant is listed as Dream Crew IP in West Hollywood, Calif.

Drake rapped about starting from the bottom, but his new venture in the cannabis industry is certainly a higher business.
