The Outer Worlds Sales Have 'Exceeded Expectations', Seems to Be a Hit

On the first update for the game, many might expect a huge list of changes coming to the game, but The Outer Worlds actually plays pretty smooth outside of a few problems.

Having unveiled The Outer Worlds for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC back in December 2018, developer Obsidian Entertainment (once independent, now a Microsoft studio) announced that the game would be coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020. That, unfortunately, means that there's been no talk of a release date. Exact figures weren't revealed, though Take-Two mentioned that the game "handily exceeded expectations" and it's expected to be a major contributor the publisher's revenue this year.

The wild and odd adventure "The Outer Worlds" should be available on Switch by March 2020.

Wait what does Take-Two have to do with this?

Take-Two Interactive, the company that holds The Outer World's publisher, Private Division, as a subsidiary, shared with investors and analysts during a financial conference call that the game has been performing well with critical praise and its high volume of sales. Are you planning to pick up the Switch version of The Outer Worlds or are you content with one of the other versions already available? Hopefully we'll have a better handle on what kind of concessions need to made to get this game running on the Switch soon enough, so stay tuned.
