The Arkansas Razorbacks have fired head coach Chad Morris after losing 45-19 to Western Kentucky. Morris and company went 4-18 during his tenure including four embarrassing losses to non-P5 schools. Morris' only victories came again Eastern Illinois, Portland State - two FCS teams - Tulsa and Colorado State.

Arkansas has made a change in leadership in its football program. "It is clear that we have not made the progress necessary to compete and win, especially within the Southeastern Conference".

Fortunately, Morris was sacked and not fried. Florida State fired Willie Taggart after 21 games last Sunday.

The Chad Morris era at Arkansas has come to a quick end, as he was sacked before reaching the end of his second season. After one year, he was hired away by Clemson, where he coached and recruited Deshaun Watson.

Arkansas has parted ways with Chad Morris as head coach, a person with knowledge of the matter told USA TODAY Sports. According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the Razorback Foundation stopped has stopped paying out the $320,833 monthly check Bielema was owed, claiming he hasn't fulfilled his end of the settlement to seek similar employment that would offset Arkansas' obligation. It dropped the Razorbacks to 4-18 under Morris.

Yurachek said a national search for the next coach will begin immediately.

Arkansas will hold a press conference on Monday about the firing and Barry Lunney the interim head coach.
